Why is the transcript missing for my video?

Our tool extracts the official closed captions from YouTube. If the creator has disabled subtitles, or if the video is brand new and YouTube hasn't finished processing the auto-captions, we cannot extract the text. Try again later or ensure the video has an active CC track.

Is there a limit to how many transcripts I can download?

Transcriptafy is completely free. However, to prevent abuse and ensure server stability for everyone, we employ standard rate-limiting. Normal human usage will never trigger these limits.

Can you add a new feature?
